Ishaq Dar Suffers Shoulder Fracture, Continues Official Duties in Islamabad

Finance and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar sustained a hairline shoulder fracture when he slipped receiving the Foreign Minister of Egypt in Islamabad. According to his son Ali Dar, he still attended important meetings and performed his official roles despite the injury by using painkillers.

Islamic Minister of Finance and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar suffered a hairline injury to the shoulder after falling when welcoming the Egyptian Foreign Minister in Islamabad, his son Ali Dar affirmed on Sunday.

In spite of his injury, Ishaq Dar did not give up his official duties. Ali Dar wrote on X that his dad still managed to attend key meetings during the day, but used painkillers to cope with it.

Ali Dar wrote that despite the incident during the reception, he fulfilled all important meetings and performed his duties in the most suitable way.

The incident underscores the commitment of Dar to his two-fold position as Finance and Foreign Minister because Dar made sure that diplomatic commitments were not affected in any way by the administrative obligations. His colleagues and authorities have been reported to have extended their goodwill making sure that his workload is taken care of as he recuperates.
