ITP issues advisory for Express Highway, diversions planned amid foreign delegations

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic advisory, informing citizens about planned diversions on Express Highway due to movement of foreign delegations in the Federal capital.

An ITP official told APP on Wednesday that traffic diversions would be placed on Express Highway for smooth and secure movement of visiting delegations.

He said citizens were advised to plan their travel accordingly and leave with extra time to avoid inconvenience.

The official urged commuters to show patience and cooperate with traffic police during the diversion period.

He added that Islamabad Traffic Police personnel were present on roads to facilitate and guide citizens.

The official said citizens could obtain further updates through ITP’s official WhatsApp channel and social media platforms.

Islamabad Traffic Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring smooth traffic flow and public facilitation across the city.
