ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Wednesday issued a traffic advisory as intermittent rain continued in the Federal capital, urging citizens to follow safety measures while traveling.
An ITP official told APP that motorists should use fog lights during rain and keep their speed low to avoid accidents on slippery roads.
He said drivers and motorcyclists must strictly adhere to lane discipline while traveling.
The official advised commuters to ensure proper use of side mirrors and indicators during travel to maintain safe driving practices.
He said motorcyclists should use the extreme left lane and ride at a slow speed during rainy conditions.
He added that Islamabad Traffic Police officers were present on roads to facilitate and guide citizens.
The official said citizens could contact the traffic helpline 1915 or dial 15 for assistance and guidance.
