ITP issues traffic advisory for movement of cricket teams in capital

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic advisory regarding movement of cricket teams in the Federal capital, informing citizens about temporary diversions on major roads during different timings.

An ITP official told APP on Thursday that traffic diversions would be placed on Club Road, Murree Road, Express Highway and Srinagar Highway in connection with movement of cricket teams.

The official said traffic flow on these roads could remain affected during diversion timings and citizens were advised to leave homes 20 to 25 minutes earlier to avoid inconvenience.

According to the advisory, commuters were urged to use alternate routes and service roads during diversion periods to ensure smooth travel.

The official said Islamabad Traffic Police personnel would remain present on roads to facilitate citizens and maintain effective traffic flow during movement of teams.

Citizens were further advised to follow Islamabad Traffic Police WhatsApp channel, social media pages of Islamabad Police and tune into ITP FM 92.4 for traffic updates and road information.
