ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic diversion plan to facilitate the smooth movement of a foreign delegation, advising commuters to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time.
An ITP official told APP on Tuesday that traffic diversions would be placed on Murree Road, Club Road, the Islamabad Expressway, Jinnah Avenue from Serena Chowk to Khayaban Chowk, and Garden Avenue during the movement of the delegation.
For commuters travelling on Murree Road and the Islamabad Expressway, the official advised using Srinagar Highway, IJP Road and 9th Avenue as alternate routes.
Motorists intending to travel on Jinnah Avenue were advised to use Margalla Road and 7th Avenue to avoid delays.

The official advised commuters to leave for their destinations 15 to 20 minutes earlier than usual to avoid inconvenience.
He said Islamabad Traffic Police personnel would remain deployed along all major routes to facilitate road users and ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
The official also urged citizens to follow the official social media platforms of Islamabad Police for the latest traffic updates and travel advisories.
