ITP officers celebrate Eid with traffic personnel performing duties in capital

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) organized a special Eid gathering and meal at Traffic Police Headquarters to appreciate officers and personnel performing duties during Eid-ul-Adha in the Federal capital.

An official told APP on Wednesday that DIG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joya attended the event as chief guest.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, along with DIG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joya, shared Eid meal with officers and personnel, exchanged Eid greetings and embraced officials on the festive occasion.

CTO Virk also visited different duty points across the city where he met traffic officers deployed on Eid duties and distributed beverages among them.

Virk appreciated the dedication and sacrifices of traffic police personnel who remained on roads to ensure smooth traffic flow and facilitate citizens during Eid holidays.

These are the jawans because of whom citizens are celebrating a peaceful Eid, the CTO Virk said.

He added that traffic personnel had sacrificed their own Eid celebrations in the line of duty and deserved full appreciation and recognition for their commitment.

I pay tribute to all these officers and jawans and feel proud of my force, Sarfraz Virk said.
