IUB delegate visit Morocco University

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) A delegation from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IBU) successfully represented the university at an international conference hosted by Sultan Moulay Slimane University in Morocco.

According to an official press release issued by the IUB here, the delegation included Director IT Faisal Shahzad and Director of the Institute of Agro-Industry and Environment Prof. Dr. Ghulam Hassan Abbasi.

The visit served as a significant milestone in fostering mutual collaboration between the two institutions, with a focus on advancing joint academic research, faculty and student exchange programs, and strategic joint ventures, the press release said, adding that during the event, the Islamia University of Ba’awalpur's officials demonstrated academic leadership by chairing key technical sessions on AI and geomatic technology, further solidifying the university's global standing.

It further said that in a gesture of mutual respect and diplomatic goodwill, the Head of the host Moroccan university presented a special souvenir for the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran, marking the beginning of a robust 5-year partnership aimed at global research excellence.
