RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Punjab Prisons Department is continuing recruitment of lady warders for women's prisons in Rawalpindi and other districts of the province, officials said on Wednesday.

According to a spokesman, physical and written tests of candidates have been completed transparently, ensuring merit at every stage of the recruitment process.

Vacancies in women's prisons in Lahore, Faisalabad and other districts are being filled under the ongoing drive.

Authorities said an effective complaint redressal system has also been established to facilitate candidates, enabling them to directly contact senior officials in case of grievances.

Complaints can be submitted to the Inspector General of Prisons and Additional Secretary Home, they added.

A review board has also been constituted to ensure the timely resolution of complaints and transparent decision-making, with officials reiterating that no compromise would be made on merit, transparency and fairness.
