Jamrud people protest alleged injustice in Ramazan Package

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) Residents of Jamrud in Khyber District staged a protest at Bab-e-Khyber against the Chief Minister’s Ramadan Relief Package, as large numbers of men, women and children took to the streets.

The demonstrators alleged injustice in distribution of the relief package and called on authorities to conduct a transparent investigation.

According to the protesters, many deserving families were ignored and failed to receive any assistance, despite waiting for support.

A significant number of women and children participated in the protest, highlighting the severity of public dissatisfaction. Protesters urged the government to take immediate notice of the situation and demanded strict action against those responsible.

The crowd also raised serious concerns over the fairness and transparency of the relief distribution process, calling for reforms to ensure that aid reaches the rightful beneficiaries.
