Jirga held emphasising on peace, brotherhood for achieving development

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) A jirga was held in Spin Tanai with Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Lower Musarrat Zaman in the chair regarding matters related to the Zalikhel and Dotani tribes.

According to administration District Police Officer (DPO) also attended the meeting.

During the jirga, tribal elders presented their concerns and issues before the district administration.

Deputy Commissioner Musarrat Zaman listened to the matters in detail and assured the participants that all issues would be resolved through law, mutual consultation, and the traditional jirga system.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration holds a parental role for the public; therefore, all parties should demonstrate patience and tolerance and cooperate with the administration in maintaining peace and order in the area.

He urged both the Zalikhel and Dotani tribes to remain peaceful so that the ongoing issues could be resolved amicably in an atmosphere of brotherhood and harmony.

The tribal elders appreciated the efforts of the district administration and assured their full cooperation for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
