Following heavy rainfall and strong winds across Karachi, K-Electric has restored electricity in the majority of affected areas, a spokesperson confirmed.
Out of the city’s 2,100 power distribution feeders, approximately 1,950 are now supplying electricity. Areas where power has been restored include Khayaban-e-Ittihad, Muslim Commercial, Eidgah Ground, Afshani Street, Kalakot, Golden Town, Asifabad, Sabzi Mandi, F.B. Area Blocks 9 & 14, and Gulshan-e-Mimar S & T, among others.
Electricity has also been resumed in Khayaban-e-Jami, Khayaban-e-Badban, SITE Super Highway, Labour Square, Ahsanabad, Gulistan-e-Johar Blocks 1 & 3, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Blocks 13D2 & 13D3, Yar Muhammad Jokhio Goth, F.C. Area, Musa Colony, Zia Colony, Roshan Colony, as well as Sikandarabad and Liaquatabad C-1 & C-Area.
K-Electric field teams remain active in addressing local faults while continuously monitoring changing weather conditions. Residents are urged to maintain a safe distance from electrical infrastructure after rainfall and avoid touching poles, cables, or other wiring.
For timely reporting of local faults, customers can contact K-Electric through its social media channels or the KE Live App. In case of safety emergencies during rain, the public is advised to call 118.
K-Electric continues to work round-the-clock to ensure the safe and reliable restoration of electricity across the city.
