ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) The Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan (FCCP) has fixed for hearing an important case concerning the removal of encroachments in Karachi, along with a contempt of court petition filed against Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani in the same matter.
According to details, the contempt petition against Saeed Ghani was filed in 2019 over an alleged violation of court orders in the encroachments case.
The petition has now been formally scheduled for a hearing.
A two-member bench of the Federal Constitutional Court, headed by Justice Aamir Farooq, will hear the case on April 30.
The court has issued notices to Saeed Ghani, the Advocate General Sindh, and other relevant officials.
Additionally, notices have also been issued to the Director General Rangers, Inspector General Sindh, and Karachi’s municipal authorities to appear before the court and present their stance at the next hearing.
