Karachi: The annual matriculation examinations in Karachi are scheduled to commence tomorrow, with 520 examination centres established across the city to accommodate students.

Authorities have issued directives to law enforcement agencies to enforce Section 144 around all exam venues, ensuring security and maintaining order during the examinations.

According to Examination Controller Ahmed Khan Chhatto, all students have received their admit cards, enabling a smooth start to the exams.

Strict measures have been implemented to prevent malpractice, including a complete prohibition on mobile phones and electronic devices within exam halls. Dedicated monitoring teams will submit daily compliance reports to oversee smooth operations.

To facilitate secure distribution of examination papers, 25 hub centres have been established across 18 towns, and authorities have ordered that photocopy machines remain closed in the proximity of exam centres throughout the exam period.

Furthermore, K-Electric has been instructed to ensure uninterrupted power supply during examination hours, while vigilance officers and external superintendents will conduct strict supervision to guarantee the fair and smooth conduct of the examinations.
