Mercury likely to reach 43°C during heat spell.
KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast that heatwave conditions will persist in Karachi from June 10 to 12, with a significant rise in temperatures expected during this period.
According to the forecast the mercury may climb up to 43°C, while high humidity levels are likely to intensify the heat, making conditions feel even hotter than the actual temperature.
The city is expected to remain hot and humid today as well, with the heat intensity likely to feel a few degrees higher than the recorded temperature.
Officials said southwesterly winds are currently prevailing in the city, while the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy throughout the day.
