Karachi Gets New EV Bus Route, Maymar to Tower – Ride Starts Today!

The Sindh Government launched the EV bus route Maymar to Tower in Karachi on 17 March 2026. This new EV bus route, Maymar to Tower connects Gulshan-e-Maymar directly to Tower in just 32 km. Commuters now ride modern electric buses under the People’s Bus Service on the EV bus route Maymar to Tower for affordable, zero-emission travel.

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced the start yesterday. Fifteen new EV buses now operate on the EV bus route Maymar to Tower.

The route serves Gulshan-e-Maymar, Surjani Town and nearby areas straight to Saddar-Tower. It cuts daily traffic jams and pollution for hundreds of thousands of riders.

Sharjeel Inam Memon stated: “The environmentally friendly EV bus route Maymar to Tower will benefit hundreds of thousands of residents. It delivers modern, comfortable and affordable transport.”

No exact timetable exists yet because the route launched today. Buses run roughly 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM every 15–30 minutes during peak hours.

Fares match existing People’s Bus Service rates and stay low. Exact stops follow major roads from northern Karachi to the centre.

The launch ceremony took place at Gulshan-e-Maymar near V-40/A. Residents attended the first service.

The Sindh Government will add more EV buses before Eid. It also plans new routes across Karachi and extensions to Hyderabad and Sukkur.
