Karachi – The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has officially announced the postponement of matriculation examinations across Karachi, which were earlier scheduled to begin on April 7. The exams will now commence from April 10, providing students additional time for preparation.

BSEK Chairman Ghulam Hussain explains that the move was made to ease the students and make the arrangements in the city easier. He stressed that this delay would allow the board to deal with logistical and technical issues in the most efficient way.

Shift to Digital System Causes Delay

Authorities disclosed that the delay is associated with the fact that the board is still in the process of switching to a digital platform after years of using a manual one. The Controller of Examinations clarified that the abrupt rise in the volume of data caused temporary technical problems, which affected the way the system was working and required the board to postpone the examination on an emergency basis.

No Change in Examination Centers

Although the new dates have been altered, BSEK has assured that examination centers will not change. Students are advised to appear at their previously assigned venues without any confusion.

Revised Schedule to Be Issued Soon

The board has given a promise to students and learning institutions that an amended examination schedule will be published soon and that it will give them a clear picture on the subject wise exam dates.

Admit Card Distribution

BSEK had previously instructed schools to gather admit cards by April 6 by providing an official authority letter. Issuance of documents was to be done in time and this was arranged in the board conference hall which was used to organize the distribution process.

Focus on Minimizing Disruption

The authorities have reiterated that the move is meant to minimize disruptions and yet to ensure the integrity and transparency of the examination process of thousands of students throughout Karachi.

Students and parents are encouraged to stay updated through official BSEK channels for further announcements and guidelines.
