PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Development oversight meetings in Karak and Hangu have accelerated pressure on executing agencies to speed up water supply and infrastructure schemes, with lawmakers stressing strict timelines, quality control and immediate removal of bureaucratic delays.
In Karak, a high-level review meeting chaired by the Parliamentary Leader Shahid Khattak MNA reviewed progress on multiple drinking water supply schemes, said a press release.
The meeting was attended by MPAs Khursheed Khattak and Sajjad Barakawal, along with Public Health Engineering Department officials, XENs and consultancy teams.
Officials briefed the participants on key projects including the Karak City Greater Water Supply Scheme and several union council-level schemes.
Lawmakers directed the authorities to immediately finalize consultancy reports and ensure that no administrative delays hinder the start of physical work.
They emphasized that provision of clean drinking water remains a top public priority and warned that any negligence or delay would not be tolerated.
Meanwhile in Hangu, a separate high-level review meeting chaired by MNA Yousuf Khan was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office Gohar Zaman Wazir, with participation from relevant executive agencies.
Officials were briefed on ongoing development schemes and their progress.
The MNA issued strict instructions for ensuring high construction standards and timely completion of all projects, warning that compromise on quality or deadlines would not be accepted under any circumstances.
Both meetings concluded with commitments from officials and representatives to ensure transparency, efficiency and accelerated delivery of public welfare projects across the two districts.
