Karbala teaches triumph of truth over falsehood:Hamza Shehbaz

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President and former Punjab chief minister Hamza Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs of Karbala teaches humanity that oppression and falsehood can never prevail over truth.

In a message issued on Youm-e-Ashura,he said the day serves as a reminder of the unparalleled sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA),his family and devoted companions for the preservation and honor of islam.

He said Muharram symbolises the eternal struggle between truth and falsehood, adding that the message of Karbala inspires Muslims to remain patient in hardship, steadfast in adversity and committed to truth and justice under all circumstances.

Hamza Shehbaz said the sacrifices of Karbala continue to guide humanity towards righteousness and moral courage.
