Kashmiri diaspora leader praises Pakistan’s diplomacy, urges unity for Kashmir cause

MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) France-based Kashmiri diaspora leader Mirza Asif Jaral has lauded Pakistan’s civil and military leadership for what he described as “exceptional diplomacy” in easing tensions between Iran and United States, and encouraging both sides toward dialogue. He said Pakistan’s foreign policy had elevated the country’s global standing at a critical time.

Speaking as chief guest at a ceremony hosted by Tanzeem Jaral Rajput Mirpur before his departure for France on Wednesday, Jaral praised the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif and Syed Asim Munir. He noted that despite a temporary pause in negotiations, there remained strong prospects for lasting peace, adding that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts had enhanced the dignity of overseas Kashmiris.

Jaral also commended the welfare initiatives of the organization, describing its development plans as “highly encouraging,” particularly in the areas of education, women’s empowerment, and economic self-reliance.

He welcomed progress on the registration of Tanzeem Jaral Rajput Foundation with regulatory authorities and pledged his full support to strengthen the organization’s activities.

The event was presided over by Hafiz Muhammad Maqsood Jaral, who praised Jaral’s efforts in highlighting the Kashmir issue internationally. He reaffirmed confidence in Pakistan’s leadership to advance a just resolution of the Kashmir dispute, while outlining ongoing and planned welfare projects, including student support, women’s skills development, and employment assistance initiatives.
