The Leadership of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has warmly congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and the entire diplomatic team on Pakistan's widely acknowledged role in facilitating the historic understanding reached between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a joint statement issued, Chairman Businessmen Group Zubair Motiwala, Vice Chairmen BMG Anjum Nisar, Jawed Bilwani, Mian Abrar Ahmed and Tarir Yousuf, President KCCI Rehan Hanif, Senior Vice President Muhammad Raza and Vice President Arif Lakhani, while describing the development as a landmark diplomatic achievement, stated that Pakistan's constructive engagement and peace-oriented diplomacy have elevated the country's stature in the international community and reinforced its image as a responsible and credible partner capable of contributing to global peace and regional stability.

They remarked that the understanding reached between Washington and Tehran marks a significant breakthrough at a time when tensions in the middle East had raised serious concerns for the global economy, energy security and international trade. The successful diplomatic efforts, they said, have not only helped create an environment conducive to peace but have also generated fresh optimism regarding economic cooperation and regional connectivity.

KCCI Leadership observed that improved regional stability and the normalization of economic activity could create opportunities for Pakistan to strengthen bilateral trade with Iran, expand cross-border economic cooperation, improve logistics and transportation networks and address long-standing energy challenges.

They added that greater regional peace and uninterrupted commercial activity would ultimately benefit businesses, investors and consumers across the region.

They expressed confidence that Pakistan's successful diplomatic engagement would further strengthen the country's relations with brotherly Muslim countries and major international stakeholders while opening doors for increased foreign investment and economic cooperation.

Pakistan has once again demonstrated that dialogue, diplomacy and peaceful engagement remain the most effective tools for resolving complex international disputes. This achievement has made the entire nation proud and has enhanced Pakistan's prestige and standing at the global level, they added.

KCCI Leadership reiterated that the Karachi Chamber, being the largest representative body of the country's business community, firmly believes that peace and economic prosperity are inseparable. They expressed hope that the prevailing positive developments would contribute to regional harmony, facilitate trade and investment and ultimately bring greater economic opportunities and prosperity for the people of Pakistan.
