KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has reduced the use of government facilities and privileges by 50 percent in line with the National Energy Conservation Plan.
The principal objectives of the National Energy Conservation Plan are saving petroleum products, promoting austerity, reducing energy consumption in government offices, and conserving foreign exchange.
In light of these aims and following the directives of the Government of Pakistan and the orders of the Government of Sindh, the authority has grounded official vehicles.
According to the details, petrol consumption in KDA's official vehicles has also been restricted by 50 percent.
The Director General of KDA, Asif Jan Siddiqui, has issued clear instructions to reduce petrol and electricity consumption, and compliance has been initiated immediately.
The KDA is committed to the efficient use of energy, resource conservation, and full adherence to government directives under this policy.
