KARACHI: In a significant move aimed at expanding beyond traditional electricity supply and diversifying services, KE Ventures, a wholly owned subsidiary of K-Electric established in 2020, has appointed Adeeb Ahmed as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
KE Ventures serves as a strategic investment arm focused on delivering integrated services across the energy value chain for residents and businesses in Karachi, marking an important step in K-Electric’s long-term transformation strategy.
Following its initial investment of over Rs1.3 billion in its first venture, KE-Solar, the company is now expanding its portfolio into renewable energy, distributed generation, e-mobility, industrial infrastructure and services, technology solutions, and fintech-based offerings.
Sameer Chishty, Chairman of KE Ventures’ Board of Directors and member of the K-Electric Board, said the initiative aims to enhance service delivery in Karachi by enabling innovative ecosystems that create value for all stakeholders, including employees, customers, and government partners.
Commenting on his appointment, CEO Adeeb Ahmed said KE Ventures is looking forward to leveraging emerging opportunities where K-Electric’s infrastructure and reach play a key role.
He added that there are significant prospects for integrating new technologies and innovative services across industrial and consumer sectors.
He further noted that KE Ventures plans to collaborate with experienced operators and investors to develop scalable solutions, reflecting the vision that Karachi’s future energy needs will be driven by diversified platforms and modern ecosystem-based services.
