Khuli katchery held to address problems of Dara Adam Khel people

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The district administration Kohat here Wednesday held an Khuli Katchery (open court) at District Council Hall to address the long standing grievances faced by people in the tribal sub-division of Dara Adam Khel.

Senior civil and military officials including Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, District Police Officer Shehbaz Elahi and Colonel Nafeh of Pakistan Army attended the session alongside tribal elders and a large number of local youth.

Participants raised concerns related to law and order, education, healthcare, electricity, water supply and road infrastructure. Officials heard complaints individually and assured residents that no issue would be left unresolved.

Several administrative matters were resolved on the spot while issues requiring financial resources were taken up immediately with relevant authorities.

The authorities said that provincial government is prioritizing open courts at multiple levels on the directives of the chief minister to ensure direct public relief. Officials also urged citizens to remain vigilant against elements that are trying to disrupt peace and stability.

During the session, it was decided to form a “Grand Jirga” comprising two to three representatives from each tribe to ensure sustainable resolution of disputes and community issues.

Later, a grand rally was carried out to mark the anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq, wherein officials and tribal elders paid tribute to the Pakistan Army’s sacrifices.
