Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar successfully conducted the Makeup Centralized Admission Test (CAT) for admissions in Allied Health Sciences, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), and BS Nursing programs
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar successfully conducted the Makeup Centralized Admission Test (CAT) for admissions in Allied Health Sciences, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), and BS Nursing programs.
The test was held simultaneously at 12 centers across the province, with a total of 2,374 candidates appearing. Of these, 1,427 were male students and 947 were female students.
The makeup test was specially arranged for candidates who were unable to appear in the previously conducted test due to unavoidable circumstances or technical issues. The Primary objective was to ensure equal and fair opportunities for all eligible applicants.
The test was conducted concurrently at KMU Institute of Medical Sciences (Kohat); Nowshera Medical College, Nowshera; Pak-Swiss Nursing Institute, Swat, Saidu Medical College, Swat, Women Medical College, Abbottabad, Abbottabad International Medical College, Abbottabad; Bacha Khan Medical College, Mardan, Gomal Medical College, Dera Ismail Khan, Government College of Nursing, Bannu, KMU Main Campus, Peshawar, KMU Grammar school, Matta (Swat); and KMU Institute of Health Sciences, Kurram/Parachinar.
Candidates and their parents appreciated the facilities and arrangements at the examination centers.
Various stakeholders also commended KMU for maintaining transparency and a merit-based system throughout the process.
The successful conduct of the makeup test once again demonstrates KMU’s firm commitment to promoting quality medical education and ensuring a transparent admission system across the province.
