KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) The district administration Kohat has fixed official rates for agricultural machinery services to provide relief to the farming community and curb arbitrary charges being collected by private operators.

According to a notification issued by Syed Mukhtiar Ahmad Shah, Additional Assistant Commissioner-III Kohat, the decision was taken after consultation with the Agriculture Department, Irrigation Department, and representatives of the Tractor Union.

Under the approved rates, the thresher service will be charged at Rs. 5,000 per hour, while manual wheat harvesting will cost Rs. 1,800 per kanal.

The notification directed all machinery owners and service providers to strictly adhere to the official rates. Any violation would invite strict legal action under relevant laws.

The measure aims to ensure fair pricing and protect farmers from exploitation during the ongoing wheat harvesting season.
