KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) The Kohat district administration has directed LPG dealers to sell liquefied petroleum gas at government-fixed rates following a surge in public complaints about overcharging, warning that violators will face strict legal action.
The directives were issued by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz on Friday, who ordered the strict enforcement of official price controls. In this connection, a meeting chaired by Additional Assistant Commissioner-II Arooba Iftikhar was held with local LPG dealers to address consumers' concerns and ensure compliance with government pricing.
During the meeting, dealers were instructed to sell LPG strictly according to the officially notified rates and to prominently display the government-issued price list at their outlets.

Addressing the participants, the Additional Assistant Commissioner said profiteering and the exploitation of consumers would not be tolerated under any circumstances. She warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone found violating the official pricing mechanism, reaffirming the administration's commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring the uninterrupted supply of LPG at affordable rates.
