Kohat officials crack down on price violations, inspect public offices

Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, Additional Assistant Commissioner Gambat Syed Mukhtiar Shah conducted inspections in Gambat Bazaar on Friday to enforce official price lists and monitor the sale of essential commodities

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, Additional Assistant Commissioner Gambat Syed Mukhtiar Shah conducted inspections in Gambat Bazaar on Friday to enforce official price lists and monitor the sale of essential commodities. Vegetable, fruit and grocery shops were inspected, while traders found overcharging customers were fined and warned against future violations.

In a separate visit, the additional assistant commissioner inspected the Rural Health Center (RHC) Gambat, reviewing staff attendance, medicine stocks, official records and overall administrative arrangements to ensure the facility was functioning efficiently.

He also visited the office of the Assistant Director Local Government in Gambat, where sanitation and water supply shortcomings were identified. Officials were directed to address the deficiencies without delay and improve the overall working environment of the office.

The inspections were part of the district administration's ongoing efforts to enforce government regulations, improve public service delivery and ensure better civic and administrative standards across the district.
