Kohat police foil drug smuggling bid, seize over 11kg hashish

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Kohat police here on Friday arrested two women and recovered more than eleven kilogram of hashish in separate operations.

According to police sources, SHO Noor Muhammad of MRS Police Station was conducting routine checking on the Indus Highway when a suspicious vehicle was intercepted. Upon search, 8,080 grams of hashish was recovered from the possession of two women smugglers.

The contraband was being transported from Peshawar to Bannu. Both accused were taken into custody and shifted to MRS Police Station where a case has been registered against them.

In a separate action, SHO Adnan Khan of Istrezai Police Station, Shahbaz Elahi arrested two drug peddlers, Jehanzeb and Sarfaraz. Police recovered 3,500 grams of hashish from their possession. A case has also been registered against the accused at Istrezai Police Station.
