Kohat Police solve Eid day theft case, arrest two suspects and recover stolen goods

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) Kohat City Police have successfully solved a theft case reported on Eid day by arresting two suspects and recovering stolen mechanical equipment along with the vehicle allegedly used in the crime.

According to police sources, complainant Musaddiq informed police that unidentified thieves had broken into his mechanic’s workshop and stolen two Suzuki engines, gearboxes and other valuable mechanical parts after breaking the shop’s locks.

Taking immediate notice of the incident, District Police Officer Shahbaz Elahi directed police officials to expedite efforts for the arrest of the culprits and recovery of the stolen property.

Acting on these instructions, Station House Officer Saifullah and his team launched an investigation using modern policing techniques, intelligence gathering and information obtained through local informants.

The police team successfully traced and arrested two suspects, identified as Shahab and Umar, within a short period. During the operation, officers recovered the stolen Suzuki engines, gearboxes and other mechanical parts, as well as the Suzuki vehicle allegedly used in the theft. The suspects have been shifted to the City Police Station for further investigation, and police believe additional disclosures may emerge during interrogation.
