KP Assembly speaker welcomes decision to lift wheat transportation ban

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Thursday welcomed the decision of the committee constituted by the Prime Minister regarding the removal of the ban on wheat transportation from Punjab to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a statement issued by the Office of the Press Secretary to the speaker, he expressed gratitude to Faisal Karim Kundi, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Opposition Leader Dr. Ibadullah, and all parliamentary leaders and political parties for demonstrating unity in the larger interest of the people of the province.

The speaker said this was the result of collective stance of political leadership in the province.

He congratulated all political and parliamentary leaders for such initiatives and future cooperation on the issue.
