KP CM expresses grief, sorrow over loss of guiltless lives in Quetta terror incident

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic terrorist incident in Quetta that resulted in the loss of precious lives and injuries to innocent people.

In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, KP CM on Tuesday extended heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies on behalf of the government and people of KP to the bereaved families of the victims.

Muhammad Sohail Afridi reaffirmed complete solidarity with the government and people of Balochistan during this difficult time stating that the people of KP stand shoulder to shoulder with their brothers and sisters in this time of duress.

He said that terrorism remains a common challenge threatening the peace and stability of the entire nation. He paid tribute to the sacrifices rendered by the people, police and security forces of Balochistan in the fight against terrorism describing their contributions as highly commendable.

The CM prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls and a speedy recovery for those injured in the incident.
