KP CM praises Pakistan’s positive global role, calls for constructive dialogue

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, on Thursday said Pakistan’s role in the current situation is being widely appreciated globally, earning praise across the world.

Addressing a press conference here, he emphasized that Pakistan has consistently advocated for peace and constructive engagement, adding that the country’s stance has now gained international recognition.

The chief minister said that dialogue with Afghanistan could yield positive outcomes, reiterating that elements harming Pakistan should not be allowed to operate.

He added that Afghan refugees would be repatriated with dignity and respect in line with national policy.

He also stressed the importance of constructive criticism, noting that unwarranted propaganda against the government should be avoided.

Sohail Afridi announced that expansion of the provincial cabinet would take place soon, adding that government departments are continuing to perform effectively even without expansion.

He further stated that steps would be taken to ensure civil supremacy in Malakand Division.
