KP CM seeks report on Kalam boat tragedy, orders action over negligence

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jul, 2026) Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Wednesday took strict notice of the tragic boat accident at Saifullah Lake in Kalam and sought an immediate report from the relevant administration.

The CM directed authorities to take action against those responsible if any negligence or lapse was found in connection with the incident.

Expressing heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, he conveyed deep sorrow over the deaths, particularly the loss of multiple members of a single family, and described the incident as deeply tragic and heartbreaking.

He said the provincial government stood with the affected families during this difficult time.

The CM also instructed rescue and relief teams to continue search and recovery efforts with full responsibility and speed to locate the missing girl.

He prayed for the departed souls and for strength and patience for the grieving families.
