KP govt approves Ramazan support package

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a Ramazan Support Package worth Rs13.287 billion to provide financial relief to deserving low-income families across the province during the holy month.

According to official sources over one million families will receive Rs12500 each through a digital payment mechanism. The package gives priority to the most vulnerable segments including widows orphans persons with disabilities and victims of disasters and terrorism.

The allocation is 25 percent higher compared to last year.

The provincial cabinet also approved a range of other key measures including wheat procurement policy sugar deregulation support for hydropower projects grants for families of martyrs healthcare assistance initiatives women empowerment policy expansion of IT and education sectors minority rights related legislation and various other development projects aimed at socio-economic uplift in the province.
