KP govt to build Rs. 4bln state-of-the-art hospital in Peshawar

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to establish a state-of-the-art hospital in Peshawar at an estimated cost of Rs4 billion to provide quality healthcare facilities to the people.

According to an official statement, providing citizens with quality and timely healthcare services is the state’s foremost responsibility.

In line with this commitment, the provincial government has approved the establishment of the new Peshawar General Hospital, which will be equipped with modern medical facilities.

The statement said the project aims to reduce the burden on existing major hospitals in the provincial capital and improve access to quality healthcare services for patients.

It added that the new hospital would help ensure timely and effective medical treatment for the public while strengthening the healthcare infrastructure of the province.

The government expressed its resolve to continue investing in the health sector to improve public welfare and provide better healthcare services to citizens across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
