KP govt vaccinates 74pc children under roadmap

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is making rapid progress toward achieving its immunization targets under the Provincial Immunization Roadmap, according to Health Department figures.

The provincial government aims to ensure that 90 percent of children are vaccinated by 2027. Data shows that as of February 2026, around 74 percent of children in the province have already been fully immunized.

Officials said that under a comprehensive strategy, the Health Department is working to establish a sustainable and effective immunization system through real-time digital tracking of vaccinators, maintaining digital records of children’s vaccination, and holding regular monitoring and review meetings.

The initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen public health delivery and ensure better protection for children across the province. “A healthy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a guarantee of a safer future,” the officials added.
