KP HED forms committee to review caretaker-era appointments in varsities

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Higher education Department has constituted an internal departmental committee to review appointments made in public sector universities during the caretaker government period, according to an official notification.

The notification stated that the committee would conduct a detailed examination of recruitment cases in public sector universities across the province.

All appointments made between January 22, 2023 and February 29, 2024 have been brought under the scope of the inquiry, the department said.

The HED has also directed registrars of all public sector universities to appear before the committee along with complete recruitment records for scrutiny.
