PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan on Tuesday expressed profound sorrow over the death of six children in a tragic roof collapse incident in Alpuri, Shangla.

In a condolence message, the provincial minister termed the loss of the young lives a heartbreaking tragedy and said the incident had caused irreparable grief to the bereaved families.

He extended his heartfelt sympathies to the parents and relatives of the deceased children and assured them that the provincial government stood with them during this difficult time.

Shafi Jan also expressed concern for the girl who sustained injuries in the incident and prayed for her speedy recovery.

The minister said the government would make every possible effort to support the affected families and provide them with the necessary assistance.

The roof of a room collapsed in Rahimabad area of Alpuri earlier in the day, claiming the lives of six children and injuring another, triggering grief and mourning across the district.
