KP information Minister reviews Muharram arrangements in Kohat imambargahs

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) Provincial Minister for Information Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shafi Jan, accompanied by DC Muhammad Nawaz Wazir and AC Kohat Naveed Ahmad, paid a detailed visit on Thursday to various Imambargahs in the Bangash area of Kohat.

During the visit, the officials reviewed arrangements related to security, sanitation, electricity, water supply, and other administrative matters for Muharram. The provincial minister held meetings with Imambargah administrators and local elders, listening to their issues, suggestions, and demands.

Speaking on the occasion, Shafi Jan emphasized that maintaining peace and providing maximum facilities to mourners during Muharram is the government’s foremost priority.

He directed concerned departments to take immediate and effective measures to resolve the problems faced by Imambargahs and ensure timely completion of all arrangements so that mourners do not face any inconvenience.

Nawaz Wazir assured that the district administration would ensure effective monitoring of security and administrative affairs during Muharram to provide a peaceful and safe environment for mourners.

The visit also included a detailed review of security arrangements, entry and exit points, emergency response measures, and other facilities. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that all necessary arrangements are implemented effectively, enabling religious rituals to be observed in a secure and peaceful atmosphere.
