ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) A delegation of District and Sessions Judges from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa visited the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s Public Facilitation Centre (PFC) to study its citizen-centric judicial services and explore the possibility of replicating the model in judicial institutions across the province.
According to an official statement, the delegation, comprising judges from Mardan, Swat, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Abbottabad and Peshawar, was led by the Registrar of the Peshawar High Court. The delegation also called on Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi and discussed judicial reforms, public facilitation and modernization of court services.
During their visit to the Public Facilitation Centre, the delegation was briefed on the Centre’s operations and the range of services being provided through the one-window facility aimed at enhancing accessibility, transparency and efficiency in the delivery of judicial services.
Officials informed the delegation about facilities available at the Centre, including case-filing guidance, information and facilitation services, certified copy facilitation, case-status information, litigant support services, digital information kiosks, e-filing assistance, online and e-payment facilities, as well as integrated public complaint and feedback mechanisms.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The Chief Justice emphasized the importance of citizen-centric reforms and said judicial institutions must continue adopting innovative and technology-driven solutions to improve service delivery and strengthen public confidence in the justice system.
He highlighted ongoing reform initiatives focused on facilitating litigants, improving institutional efficiency and expanding access to justice through digitization, process automation and enhanced public engagement.
Members of the delegation described the Public Facilitation Centre as an exemplary model of integrated service delivery and expressed interest in introducing similar facilitative arrangements within the district judiciary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The discussions also focused on sharing best practices and promoting greater institutional coordination to improve public facilitation across judicial institutions.
Chief Justice expressed confidence that such collaborative engagements would help strengthen service delivery standards and contribute to a more responsive, accessible and citizen-centric justice system.
