PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development & Management Company (KPEZDMC), in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, District Administration Karak, Revenue Department, and EPA Kohat, successfully conducted the Mandatory Public Hearing for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of Salt & Gypsum City Karak at Jatta Ismail Khail, old Bannu–Kohat Road, District Karak.

The hearing brought together local communities, government institutions, and key stakeholders, reaffirming a shared commitment to responsible industrialization and inclusive economic development.

Salt & Gypsum City Karak is more than an industrial project, it is a strategic intervention to convert Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's natural resources into long-term economic value.

Under the strategic vision of KPEZDMC's Chief Executive Officer, the project embodies a clear objective: to move beyond the traditional extraction of raw materials and build an ecosystem that promotes value addition, attracts investment, creates jobs, and empowers local communities.
