ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) United States Consul General Thomas Eckert Monday called on Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi here where both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and opportunities for investment and development in the province.
During the meeting, the two officials held a detailed exchange of views on promoting economic cooperation, enhancing development initiatives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and exploring avenues to attract foreign investment, said a news release issued by the party secretariat.
They also discussed Pakistan’s role and efforts in promoting global peace and stability, particularly in the context of evolving regional dynamics.
Faisal Kundi highlighted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa offers vast investment potential, adding that the Federal government and law enforcement agencies are actively working to ensure peace and stability in the province to support sustainable development and public welfare.
He also appreciated the confidence expressed by the United States in Pakistan’s mediatory role in the Iran-US tensions.
Thomas Eckert lauded Pakistan’s peace-oriented policies and acknowledged the governor’s efforts in promoting a positive image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and addressing public issues in the province.
