Labour Day rallies in DI Khan highlight role of workforce in society

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) On the occasion of International Labour Day, rallies were held in Dera Ismail Khan to highlight workers’ rights and acknowledge the contributions of labourers to society.

A rally organized by Jamaat-e-Islami took place at Topanwala Chowk under the leadership of District Ameer Manzar Masood Khattak. The gathering was addressed by Zahid Mohibullah, Professor Asad Jan and other local leaders.

Speakers emphasized the importance of protecting workers’ rights and improving their living conditions.

They stated that labourers are the backbone of the economy and their role is essential for national development.

Meanwhile, another rally was taken out from Muslim Bazaar, which concluded at Chogala Chowk. People from different walks of life participated and highlighted the significance of labour rights and the role of workers in society.

Participants reiterated that ensuring workers’ rights is vital for sustainable economic growth and social stability.
