Lady Doctor injured in acid attack shifted to Karachi for advanced medical care

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jun, 2026) On the special directives of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the lady doctor injured in a tragic acid attack has been shifted to Karachi to ensure the provision of high-quality and advanced medical facilities.

Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that her health progress must be closely monitored and the government kept continuously informed.

On the Chief Minister’s special instructions, the victim was shifted to Karachi via Peoples Air Ambulance, accompanied by expert doctors and specialized medical staff. The humanitarian mission was led by Captain Ali Azad, ensuring that the patient received continuous medical supervision during the transfer. In Karachi, she will be treated under the care of some of the country’s leading medical specialists.

Sarfraz Bugti said that the Balochistan government is assuming full responsibility for the victim’s treatment, rehabilitation, and welfare, deploying all available resources for her recovery. He stressed that providing the best possible medical facilities is the government’s foremost priority and that no negligence will be tolerated.

The Chief Minister instructed authorities to remain in constant contact with the victim’s family, offering them every possible assistance, facilitation, and guidance. He further directed that the patient’s health and treatment progress be regularly monitored and reported to the government.

Sarfraz Bugti described the acid attack as a tragic, inhumane, and socially unacceptable act, noting that the perpetrator has already met his fate. He reaffirmed that the rule of law will not be compromised, and those involved in violence, harassment, or crimes against women will face the strictest punishment under the law.

He declared that there is no place in Balochistan for elements involved in crimes against women, and the government is determined to safeguard women’s dignity, rights, and protection.
