Lahore Board approves digitisation of student registration, affiliation processes

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) Commissioner Lahore Division Maryam Khan on Thursday chaired the 537th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary education (BISE) Lahore, which approved several measures aimed at digitising board operations and improving service delivery for students.

The meeting, attended by all members of the Board of Governors, reviewed and ratified previous decisions, examined progress on digitisation initiatives and discussed new agenda items.

Lahore Board Secretary Rizwan Nazir briefed the participants on various agenda items and ongoing reforms.

The board approved the complete digitisation of the affiliation process for private educational institutions and also gave approval to digitise the manual registration system for students to establish a paperless mechanism.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Maryam Khan said that information technology interventions had been initiated to make board-related services easier, more accessible, authentic and fully online for students.

She said efforts were underway to enhance transparency and accelerate service delivery through digitisation at the Lahore Board.

The meeting also reviewed the performance and targets of the Finance Committee and Human Resource Committee functioning under the Board of Governors.

Maryam Khan directed the authorities concerned to further strengthen digital reforms and constitute a finance committee to prepare a comprehensive report on financial matters included in the agenda.

She emphasised that modernising administrative processes through technology would help improve efficiency, transparency and public facilitation in educational services.
