LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) Expatriates and workers are returning to Lahore following the conclusion of the Eid holidays, triggering significant congestion and travel rushes across the city as holidaymakers head back to their jobs and routine responsibilities.
Large crowds have been witnessed at major entry points, including the Lahore General Bus Stand (Badami Bagh), Lahore Railway Station, and various private transport terminals throughout the city.
Meanwhile, thin attendance was observed in both government and private sector offices after the Eid-ul-Azha holidays. Employees were seen discussing Eid celebrations, sacrificial animals, and issues related to butchers and meat processing.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>It is worth mentioning that major arteries leading into the city are experiencing heavy, slow-moving traffic as thousands of families complete their return journeys. The City Traffic Police Lahore and the National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) are actively managing traffic flow and facilitating commuters.
Traffic officials have advised travellers to check real-time road conditions before setting out on their journeys. Motorway authorities further stated that commuters can monitor live traffic and motorway updates through the official National Highways & Motorway Police website.
