Language lab to advance language learning inaugurated at Women University

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) inaugurated the first-ever language lab at the Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), established in the Department of English under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

The facility is the university's first dedicated laboratory for language learning, linguistics, communication skills, and technology-enhanced language education.

Appreciating the efforts of the faculty and the department, Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen termed the lab a significant academic development and emphasized its effective utilization for strengthening students' language proficiency, communication skills, and professional development.

The ceremony included a curtain-raising, ribbon-cutting, and cake-cutting, and was attended by heads of academic and administrative departments, faculty members, and students.
