Larkana police arrested three docoits in encounter and recovered weopons and bikes

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Larkana police on Monday arrested three dacoits and recovered weapons, a stolen motorcycle and a mobile phone from their possession.

An encounter took place between patrolling police and a three-member dacoit gang in the limits of Waleed police station on Arija Road.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana, Ahmed Chaudhry, stated that three dacoits have been arrested, injured, along with three pistols, a motorcycle and a mobile phone snatched from a citizen. The dacoits arrested have been identified as Rafique Chunjni, Nadir Kalhoro, and Arslan Kalhoro.

According to preliminary investigation, the aforementioned dacoits are involved in recent incidents/serious nature cases occurring inside the city. The CCTV record of the said dacoits is also available for incidents including the one where citizen Ashraf Sangi was injured during a dacoity in the Industrial area within Waleed police station limits, a dacoity incident near Mirakhan Chowk, an incident at Javed General Store near the New Bus Terminal, a motorcycle snatching from the Sheikh Zaid area, and motorcycle snatchings from Rind Colony within the limits of Allahabad police station.

Upon verification of the motorcycle recovered during the encounter, it was found that the said motorcycle was snatched from citizen Gulzar Khoso, for which a case is registered at Civil Lines police station.

For busting the gang involved in recent crimes in the city, SSP Larkana Ahmed Chaudhry has issued orders for rewards and commendations for the relevant DSP Sadr/Civil Lines, Saad Jabbar, SHO Waleed Police Station Tasawar Hayat, and the other police team members who participated in the encounter.
