Launch of skill development program at Darul Aman discussed

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Sindh Women Development Department and SZABIST ZABTech- a prominent TVET provider- agreed to launch in collaboration a skill development program at Darul Aman, a government run shelter for women in need.

The agreement was reached during a meeting of Sindh Minister for Women Development, Shahina Sher Ali with a SZABIST ZABTech delegation led by the Executive Director Waheeda Mahesar, and included Program Manager Arshma Ramiz and Program Coordinator Naila Panhwar, said a statement issued here.

The meeting discussed in detail the welfare, skill enhancement and economic empowerment of women and agreed on joint measures for the development of women including the launch of a collaborative skill development program at Dar-ul-Aman.

The Women Development Minister underscored the significance of collaboration between government and private sector institutions for betterment of women and stated that empowerment of deserving women through the skill development programs is among the core objectives of the government. She added that joint initiatives can provide more opportunities for women's economic independence.

Shahina Sher Ali also appreciated the initiatives by SZABIST ZABTech aimed at the welfare of women.
