Lawyer's killers arrested

KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) Kala police on Saturday arrested two men allegedly involved in the murder of advocate Jameel Lund, following the intervention of the District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ghazi Khan.

Police said the accused had opened fire over a previous litigation dispute, killing Jameel and injuring two others, identified as Robas and Hamza.

Taking notice of the incident, the DPO directed the SHO concerned to trace the culprits. Using modern investigation techniques, intelligence information and continuous raids, Kala police arrested the two accused along with weapons used in the crime.

The police said further investigation was under way, while legal action was being taken against the accused in accordance with the law.

The DPO commended the police team for the operation and directed that indiscriminate action against elements involved in heinous crimes continue to ensure protection of citizens' lives and property.
